Technology is fun. And shiny.
I have christened my lappy Sylvie. Thanks Kate for suggesting the exact same name I was thinking of. It’s almost like when it comes to naming computers we’re the same person!
Ok, that enthusiasm was actually slightly tinged with sarcasm. Most of you probably figured that out with the exclamation point–one of my most hated punctuation. Punctuation marks? How does one talk about punctuation, anyway? And why am I doing it? Oh yeah, I keep forgetting my English geekiness.
Let’s drop that subject. If you’re still reading, let’s just say that life is good. I’m currently experiencing the joy that is watching television whilst surfing the net and doing homework on Sylvie Eugenia. Yes, Sylvie also has a middle name. If you’re going to go to all the trouble of a first name, you might as well have a middle name, too. And why stop at one? Well, if you’re me it’s because you got bored with the whole naming thing.
Yes…oops. I’m so absorbed in Sylvie that I’ve forgotten to fast-forward and accidentally watched some commercials. I hope I’m not subliminally tempted to purchase things…as if I need subliminal messages to induce me to shop. So, yes. I best concentrate on my television viewing. TV might get offended by my lack of attention.
see, sylvie sounds like the name of an actual person, so now you can start talking about “it” in convos and really confuse people. “i’ve been having problems with sylvie lately…I can’t get her to turn on.” “I didn’t bring sylvie to class with me today. She’s locked up in my room right now.” I’m sure you could think of much more imaginative things, of course. These are just examples.
Yes. That will certainly distract from the real people I have locked in my room. Good plan. ;)
