We’re dumber than the people who study us.

This study shows that college graduates lack skills we apparently use in everyday life. Many of us can’t figure out how much gas we’ll use to get to a certain location (perhaps because that’s what the gauge is for) and can’t calculate tips (maybe because we’re bad tippers). Is this scary? Maybe. But it also makes me wonder about the qualifications of the people who created, administered, and interpreted the survey, people I’m assuming are college graduates.

Dumb people can’t always analyze dumb people. And smart people like to make other people seem dumb so they can keep the status quo. That’s life, and my view of life makes me question the value of this survey.
