Football or puppies. Puppies with footballs.

I watched part of the Super Bowl yesterday, but I’m afraid I can’t talk about it because I don’t have permission from the NFL. So, I will instead speak of the show I turned to when I got bored (I would tell you when that was, but once again, I haven’t obtained permission from the NFL to give an account of the game).

Puppy Bowl II. Yes, puppies playing around in a little football stadium. You’d think this would get boring–but I wouldn’t think that. And it did not. They were freakin’ adorable. And then, halftime? What could possibly top romping puppydom? Kittens on a stage with confetti falling on them. They were scared of the confetti, and I don’t blame them. It was practically twice their size. And then after halftime, more puppies. Aww. The cuteness of it all was almost overwhelming. Thank you Animal Planet, for letting me live vicariously through puppy and kitten owners until I can become one myself.

And if you went to the site, you’d have noticed that you can vote for the puppy MVP. I picked Barry, the poodle. He was pretty aggressive. I’d want him on my team so he wouldn’t attack me. Also, well, I just found it amusing to pick the miniature poodle as MVP.

Also, thank you Animal Planet for not censoring my opinions of the event. Puppies! Kitties! And they had a bowl cam, angled from the bottom of the water bowl. I can’t even start to explain how cute it was…words escape me.

  1. i watched the kitty halftime. i nearly died from the cuteness. and it was more entertaining than the rolling stones.

  2. A lot more entertaining. And I didn’t get into an argument with anyone about how old the kittens were. Unlike the Rolling Stones. ;)
