Visual rhetoric could save the world, people.

Visual rhetoric teaches us to look critically at images and designs. Well, here’s a great example of a common image that sends an odd, and perhaps oppressive, message to females. Hello Kitty is speechless no longer. I’m a little embarrassed that I never noticed that Hello Kitty lacks an important body part before.

  1. She’s cuter without a mouth. I think they tried to make a mouth, but it ended up just looking… freakish. Anyway, she’s a freaking CAT. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t had any good conversations with a cat lately…
